8 Week Creative Arts Therapy Group

Creative Arts Therapy 8 Week Group

with Jennifer Berlingieri

These weekly groups are an opportunity to explore a wide variety of Creative Arts Therapy processes in order to open up and reinvigorate your inspiration, personal growth and self awareness.  The group is kept small and consistent, in order to create an intimate and supportive environment.

We will use modalities such as drawing, painting, writing, clay, collage, movement, body awareness, symbols and more to explore authentic expression, and access new insights and understanding.

These groups are suitable for anyone seeking some unique time out each week, especially for you, to connect, nurture, and reflect.

Every group is designed to be different and distinctive, so if you've attended before, your next experience will be just as unpredictable as your last!

No previous arts experience required.

**Please book in early, as spaces are limited!

About this workshop
This 3 hour workshop is for practitioners from the creative arts field who are interested in working with voice and singing both for themselves and in their creative arts practice.  It weaves together singing, vocal improvisation, spoken word and harmony to enhance creativity, self-expression and spontaneity.  There will be time for discussion at the end of the evening.

About Hilde
Hilde Knottenbelt (BA, Dip Ed, Dip Shiatsu, Psychodramatist) has developed and refined Creative Voice since 1987. Originally a teacher of languages, she has an ongoing passion for exploring sound, words, meaning, attunement, expressiveness and improvised singing and storytelling in groups.
There have been numerous influences on the evolution of her work.  Among the most significant are the acappella tradition of unaccompanied harmony singing, psychodrama, playback theatre, group work, body-focused therapies including shiatsu and the many many people who have participated and continue to participate in the sessions. The creative integration of these influences continues to inform and contribute to the weaving of a unique body of work.
Hilde runs workshops in Australia and New Zealand. She is currently on the teaching staff of the Australian College of Psychodrama and the Melbourne Institute of Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy. Hilde taught Creative Voice at the Council for Adult Education in Melbourne for many years and was a member of the Living Stories Playback Theatre Company. She has a private practice in voice work and counselling.
